This is my first finished watercolour painting for my botanical illustration class, and I guess I'm kinda happy with it. One of the ladies in the class offered to buy it, and our teacher made everyone come and look at it so I guess that's a good sign. You can't tell from this scan but the flowers are life-size (the whole painting is about 3 inches high) , meaning I did the whole thing with tiny brushes that had about 5 hairs in them. One day I'll do a proper dandelion with leaves and roots for my good pal Jerome, who loves herbs and never lets me pay for my massages.

thanks lady! you should totally enrol in a class, it's teaching me all sorts of good things! I'm looking forward to applying some of what I'm learning to non-botanical paintings as well.
