Going to work is fun!

Ok not always, but it is when I get to do tattoos like these. I started this Medusa on Saturday, still just lined and shaded...it's all going to be in colour eventually. Tricky shin placement makes her face look a bit weird in the photo but I'll get a better pic once it's all finished. We have tentative plans to complete the leg by adding Medusa's offspring Pegasus and Chrysaor, a winged horse and winged boar respectively, taking form in the blood that pours from her neck as desribed in the myth of her death.

Another unfinished piece that I'm really enjoying, a dancing gypsy girl on the lovely Rosy's arm. I haven't got pics of it yet but there's also an anthropomorphic bunny on the inside playing the violin for her. This will all be in colour when we get around to it, and that old 'cellar door' tattoo at the bottom will be covered eventually too.

Lastly another shin tattoo, this time inspired by Steppenwolf on my dear friend Kegan. The Herman Hesse book, not the band! Rough as guts compared to my usual work, but that suits him perfectly...note the rugged scars all down his shin from too many bicycle stacks.

haha, aw jake...I seen plenty of your tattoos up close - I see them every day in the mirror! I just kinda relaxed with that steppenwolf one and got a bit loosey-goosey, but in a fun way...tried not to overthink it. at any rate, I like tattoos that are a bit rough!
